I will be all over the 2D ones if they bring them over in a collection. Rebirth and destiny 2 are still stuck in japan. So is tales of innocence R (though there is a fan translation). I really like the classic 2D ones though.
A compilation of Destiny 1 and 2, Eternia, Rebirth and phantasia would be sweet.
@yohn777 That's the thing. You and others didn't understand what he said. That was not what he said.
If you check the post he points out how companies are spending money on games people don't want. Notice that is different from saying the games are bad or that they don't want the live services they are already playing.
He is saying the market is saturated as i pointed out to you and it's a waste of money to be betting on this throw it to the wall until it sticks approach because players are already invested on the games they are playing and it's very difficult to compete with them.
You are quite rude btw. If you aren't willing to defend your position and will just get defensive maybe don't post? There will be debate on comment sections.
@yohn777 You are going to lengths to strawman me. I did not say every online game = stupid and bad. I said the room in the market for more is precarious and it's incredibly dumb and arrogant to think breaking into the market is easy. I said the market is saturated and i stand by that, which is why there are far more failures than successes coming out now. The market is established with the giants taking the lion share of the players. I didn't say the games are bad. Players just can't play all of these live services at once (time is finite) and player population is vital for these games to succeed.
So, dumb execs can try all they want. Chances are it will fail, studios will close and the strategy will have to change. They are still under the impression that if they throw enough to the wall one might stick. My argument is that no, it likely won't. They will eventually come to accept that with enough failures and no hit.
Nonsense. Just cause there are dino's on both doesn't make them the same.
But i can see his issue cause the MH team flirted a lot with the horror aspect in MHW. But i feel that aspect was a miss and unlikely to return as MH focuses more on nature.
Honestly, the comment would make more sense if he had said resident evil.
But, Dino crisis brings dinos and sci-fi with time travel together. No other game does that.
@yohn777 i guess we will see if they are. There is having a successful launch with lots of tourists but it's in the long term that you see it's staying power.
Still even if those two were to be long term sucesses, how many failed? I can think from high profile games of suicide squad, concord, and this blue protocol just recently but no doubt there were many more just this year. There is no guarantee you're gonna get a hit at all.
Even if there were people in the comments that wanted to play it, this game bombed.
The logic of throwing stuff at the wall until you get a hit assumes you will get a hit eventually and that is far from guaranteed.
You can't just keep wasting money and sinking the company and the investors money. The risk is way too high.
You may think the strategy is viable but reality disagrees when you look at the number of failures. This strategy is a recipe for disaster.
Oh and "hahaha" as i look at all the corpses of failed live services and money lost. 🤷♂️
@yohn777 You all are missing the point. There are live service games and people play them, but the market is saturated. There isn't room for more.
Throwing money at the wall hoping it sticks is not gonna work. People have limited time and don't want to part with their digital goods to start over elsewhere.
This is huge news. Not only will it be a great way to experience the outdated games, but a worldwide release?! That is unheard of for falcom and HUGE. I don't care about NIS if this means getting worldwide releases instead of waiting a year for localisation like we are still on the ps1/2 days.
@Suur Yes, they will be. Suikoden 2 is great and i rank it as high as the first two Grandia games. The first Suikoden is alright, but it didn't hit me the same way. Perhaps cause i played Suikoden 2 first.
They can look all they want. After what they did to the vita, there is zero chance i will buy another. Nintendo has the right idea with the switch though. If it can be both, it's better.
Not even close. This indy game is first person, which is absolute nonsense and why i won't entertain it. I am pretty sure Sony will bring back uncharted anyways. There is money to be made. If not, there is always Tomb raider.
@DonJorginho Stop the gaslighting. It's not like they are gonna spend 6 months optimising the game.
The game will be 30fps. Nothing will change that. It's their engine. They did the same with world on ps4 and the switch release of rise.
Stop giving people false hope. 30fps (hopefully stable) is what we are looking at.
We'll be lucky if there is 60fps with a ps5pro. But i have doubts they would mix 30fps and 60 fps people on the same system.
It's too late to steer the boat elsewhere. We can only hope they revamped their engine by the next entry.
If you show me DD2 running at 60fps on ps5 i will be happy to revise my statements.
Well... from those games starfield is the only one i might try after a price cut. So... whatever. There is a reason why i don't buy Xbox anymore. They really don't have anything for me.
@gaston I guess it is. The bnet accounts are basically microsoft accounts now and they can convert them if they see fit. Which is... troubling.
Cause there is no way the sales of the console are up. The thing has literally disappeared on physical retail.
@B0udoir It's an indie game. 20 people are making it. Give the man a break. He went back to doing what he was good at. Let him have a crack. It looked like it recaptured the spirit of black & white.
@Cherip-the-Ripper Can't know if they are adding more at this point, but there are less moves than in Rise and sunbreak. You had switch skills in those games, which added more moves and you could customise your play style. Wilds is losing several moves in comparison from switch skills to wirebug moves (special attacks that cost wirebugs), which for me makes it less exciting.
Oh i don't know which comments you mean, but it's likely from world only players, cause it's not true. If you compare to world, i guess there are more moves. 🤷♂️
@Yousef- Don't listen to him. It's a great game if you have no expectations from the older games. It's an action rpg that looks great and has intense fights.
@Melee_Ace We will find soon in gamescom, but i am not holding my breath for much of a difference. If they had switch skills back though, then that would be great.
Yeah... i am kind of tired of indy games trying to ride the cotails of classic beloved games just to fall extremely short. I have zero interest, sorry. Only sega can make a new skies of arcadia.
I am super disappointed they didn't keep the surge slash combo on the greatsword. So, i won't be maining that. The charge blade is looking like my go-to. Switch Axe looks like it could be a banger. Bow was looking crazy. I might have to learn it this time around.
Overall though, i know this is supposed to be the more grounded entry, but because of it, it looks generally less exciting than Rise/sunbreak. I don't like this step back in the combat for the numbred entries. I don't think it will be as fun. Next MH should be an insane banger though.
This looks like every other open world game we have been getting.
I don't get excited for it with a generic boss fight when i know how boring it will be to navigate the map and get to it and all the collect-a-tons the game will put me through.
There is nothing here you can't see in dragon's dogma. The original, mind you.
Except that there is snow here. 🤷♂️
Been there, done this. Not that fun.
The only different thing here was the voice acting. The accent on the main characters is the thing making it look a tiny bit different.
This weekend i beat Megaman X, X2 and X3. It was a journey. But, it was also kind of painful. 😂 Now i am looking forward to playing through the playstation entries. X4 to X6.
These bioware peeps... how annoying. Bringing back Morrigan just to sucker punch us origins fans. If only i could play as my gray warden. I miss the days.
Mine is very much alive, but bioware canonicly killed him and all i get is a letter and he is mysteriously away instead of enjoying life with Morrigan and the kid.
I suppose i will have to buy it, but i will wait for a price cut.
It looks better for what it's worth. I hate the revolving door of protagonists though.
I didn't play episode aegis cause i played portable and not fes. But, i watched a playthrough of the story and it was not to my liking. I was hoping for a new ending, but that wasn't the case. It's just... filler. Completely passable.
Oh please no. FF13 was bad enough the first time through.
Remake? Well it would have to completely revamp the game to be worthwhile. But, knowing what comes after, why? So many better candidates for remakes in the series. Let 13 go. It's bad luck. 😂
While they had a good Sony stint with the PSP, the order already showed that the studio was badly managed in both ballooning costs and communication.
It's a shame. There were many talented devs there.
It was over when they sold to meta.
Yeah, they have been doing a good job.
When daybreak 2 releases we will be only one game behind japan. Then they can start working on reducing that time lag.
I mean... Ys shows what we can expect. They are down to one year lag from japan. If they can bring it down to 6 months or less we will be in an acceptable spot.
That's nice. I liked Darksiders 3. Though the performance left something to be desired. Let's hope this one is finally the continuation of the story of the first game. All 4 riders in the same game.

Re: Suikoden 1 & 2 HD Remaster Assembles an Army in March 2025 on PS5, PS4
I am conflicted. I don't like the contrast of the HD backgrounds with the same eavily pixelated characters. It's gonna take some getting used to.
