Re: Not Much Space for Dino Crisis After Monster Hunter Success, Creator Says

Nem

Nonsense. Just cause there are dino's on both doesn't make them the same.
But i can see his issue cause the MH team flirted a lot with the horror aspect in MHW. But i feel that aspect was a miss and unlikely to return as MH focuses more on nature.

Honestly, the comment would make more sense if he had said resident evil.
But, Dino crisis brings dinos and sci-fi with time travel together. No other game does that.

Re: Online RPG Blue Protocol Shutting Down, Western Release Cancelled

@yohn777 i guess we will see if they are. There is having a successful launch with lots of tourists but it's in the long term that you see it's staying power.
Still even if those two were to be long term sucesses, how many failed? I can think from high profile games of suicide squad, concord, and this blue protocol just recently but no doubt there were many more just this year. There is no guarantee you're gonna get a hit at all.
Even if there were people in the comments that wanted to play it, this game bombed.
The logic of throwing stuff at the wall until you get a hit assumes you will get a hit eventually and that is far from guaranteed.
You can't just keep wasting money and sinking the company and the investors money. The risk is way too high.
You may think the strategy is viable but reality disagrees when you look at the number of failures. This strategy is a recipe for disaster.
Oh and "hahaha" as i look at all the corpses of failed live services and money lost. 🤷‍♂️

Re: Online RPG Blue Protocol Shutting Down, Western Release Cancelled

@yohn777 You all are missing the point. There are live service games and people play them, but the market is saturated. There isn't room for more.
Throwing money at the wall hoping it sticks is not gonna work. People have limited time and don't want to part with their digital goods to start over elsewhere.

Re: People Are Already Freaking Out Over Monster Hunter Wilds' PS5 Frame Rate

Nem

@DonJorginho Stop the gaslighting. It's not like they are gonna spend 6 months optimising the game.
The game will be 30fps. Nothing will change that. It's their engine. They did the same with world on ps4 and the switch release of rise.
Stop giving people false hope. 30fps (hopefully stable) is what we are looking at.
We'll be lucky if there is 60fps with a ps5pro. But i have doubts they would mix 30fps and 60 fps people on the same system.
It's too late to steer the boat elsewhere. We can only hope they revamped their engine by the next entry.

If you show me DD2 running at 60fps on ps5 i will be happy to revise my statements.

Re: Monster Hunter Wilds Bundles Gameplay from All 14 Weapons Into One Big, Glorious Video

Nem

@Cherip-the-Ripper Can't know if they are adding more at this point, but there are less moves than in Rise and sunbreak. You had switch skills in those games, which added more moves and you could customise your play style. Wilds is losing several moves in comparison from switch skills to wirebug moves (special attacks that cost wirebugs), which for me makes it less exciting.

Oh i don't know which comments you mean, but it's likely from world only players, cause it's not true. If you compare to world, i guess there are more moves. 🤷‍♂️

I am super disappointed they didn't keep the surge slash combo on the greatsword. So, i won't be maining that.
The charge blade is looking like my go-to. Switch Axe looks like it could be a banger.
Bow was looking crazy. I might have to learn it this time around.

Overall though, i know this is supposed to be the more grounded entry, but because of it, it looks generally less exciting than Rise/sunbreak. I don't like this step back in the combat for the numbred entries. I don't think it will be as fun. Next MH should be an insane banger though.

Re: PS5 Open World Crimson Desert Gets 7 Minutes of Raw Gameplay, and It Looks Ridiculous

Nem

This looks like every other open world game we have been getting.
I don't get excited for it with a generic boss fight when i know how boring it will be to navigate the map and get to it and all the collect-a-tons the game will put me through.
There is nothing here you can't see in dragon's dogma. The original, mind you.
Except that there is snow here. 🤷‍♂️
Been there, done this. Not that fun.

The only different thing here was the voice acting. The accent on the main characters is the thing making it look a tiny bit different.

Re: Dragon Age: The Veilguard Confirms October PS5 Release Date in a Much Better Trailer

Nem

These bioware peeps... how annoying. Bringing back Morrigan just to sucker punch us origins fans. If only i could play as my gray warden. I miss the days.
Mine is very much alive, but bioware canonicly killed him and all i get is a letter and he is mysteriously away instead of enjoying life with Morrigan and the kid.
I suppose i will have to buy it, but i will wait for a price cut.
It looks better for what it's worth. I hate the revolving door of protagonists though.

Re: Reaction: Sony's Billion Dollar Bungie Buyout Is Looking More and More Like a Blunder

Nem

Depends on how much they are making with destiny 2.
The lay-offs are worrying.

I thought the point was to get destiny and live service know-how, but that other teams were being built to bring new projects forth.
I really don't have enough information, but i can say they did overpay for them. It was clear from day one they could have invested that money in buying a publishers such as square enix or capcom that also has a big live services on top of other big IP's.

Hopefully Sony put Bungie to good use on more than just destiny.
