Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 534

PS5
Elden Ring
Checked out the dlc for a bit. Explored the first area, beat that fire ***** that roams the fields, then acted as a summon to help people trying to beat Moog at the dlc entry point. Just taking my time, enjoying new content for this, no need to rush.

PSVR 2
Vertigo 2
Awesome game, and a big step forward from the first title, which was solid but not as memorable. The imagination gone into design and levels is really admirable, just wish they would patch in DFR support to really do it justice.

Switch
Metroid Fusion
Having beat Super Metroid recently, I dived into this one. It's fine if slight, they took out a lot of the exploration and mystery for a more streamlined experience, which has pros and cons.

Re: Video: Is Concord Destined to Fail?

Overwatch 2 is on life support, the hero shooter had its time and place, so don't see this turning it around with Concord. Then again, a lot of people didn't think Helldivers 2 would succeed either, so let's wait and see.

Re: Days Gone Dev Bend Studio Staffing Up for 'AAA Live Service' Game

I wish they would stop using their non-Gaas studios to do GaaS games. I don't have anything against the genre, but it will likely just get cancelled and waste a chunk of resources and time. It happened with Insomniac, Naughty Dog, FireSpirite and London Studio. Buy Arrowhead, and let them and Bungie make GaaS games and let everyone else do what they do best.

Looks like its time i played the game, ive enjoyed and beaten all former From ARPGs, the open world for this initially turned me off on, but so did no blocking in Bloodborne, and that became my favourite.
With that said, From DLC has a habit of making the base game look like a walk in the park...ill make sure to bring my big boy pants.
