My biggest problem with playing this game is not this game, it's the psn price hike. Whatever mp game I finally go for has to be worth sticker price + online so $130 odd bucks.

@iPaud I loved blasphemous.. but I hit a wall at the first boss (floating head). Seemed insurmountable, am I missing something?

If i get a chance.. Wukong + still chipping away at Elden Ring. So many amazing games, too little time.

Actually wouldn't mind giving it a shot.. but with my wukong purchase, few sale gems, astro soon, and that completely unnecessary astro bot controller purchase my gaming budget is going to need to reset.

I remembered I was really looking forward to cuphead, only to find out when I bought it that it was practically a boss rush game. I was disappointed initially but ended up becoming hooked on it and loving it. I'm having the same experience right now with Wukong.

I rebought on PC and managed to fix my issues, works really well now. Must say I'm loving it, despite the gorgeous presentation there's something quite old skool about it. I hope the 'souls' comparisons don't put people off it, it feels more God of War (as others have said) but with less story fluff. As a first game from this studio it's astonishing.

Can't all developers just do whatever magic the Demon Souls remake did? Because that was the most visually beautiful game of this gen and ran at 60fps.

It looks beautiful. Not sure if the Barrington Pheloung soundtrack is being restored too? That would be a treat as I've wanted a better quality recording for years. One of the most evocative game soundtracks of all time. The YouTube interview of his approach to the soundtrack is well worth a watch too.

Ok.. now this does look interesting. Quietly excited for this. Liked the Wicker Man looking cultists too.

I bought on steam but sadly refunded due to some technical issues (might have been my fault?). What I played was great, very weird and wonderful with immense battles and stunning magic abilities. Definitely playing again in future but decided to wait till either ps5pro or next GPU.

@riceNpea You are sent by an American corporation in the game. Game pokes fun at corporate greed, but nothing too searing or political.

I absolutely loved the first one. Just played it straight through and couldn't stop. Was like a humerous 3D metroid with so much exploration and verticality. It even earned a very rare 2nd plsythrough from me. This will be day 1 for me if it's even half as good as the first.

Edit: watched the trailer and.. this seems completely different, but not in a good way.

Kyle Crane? Would have preferred to play as Niles Crane personally, but understandably the licensing wouldn't have work. Oh well.

Glad it's decent on console, i know a lot of folks were excited. I bought PC but had to refund due to really bad freezes + other issues. I may have able to fix them, but couldn't risk my refund window running out. This will be a game for next Gen for me..

Had no idea this was so close & demo was out, downloading now. This couple months is going to get quite pricey if I buy everything I want: Astro Bot, GOWR, zelda echoes of wisdom, Miles Edgeworth investigates, FF16, black myth wukong. Only thing is 100% certain.. Astro Bot, rest can wait.

All of the PS5 stuff aside.. from what i've read today and seen of this, this is an astonishing first entry. Just mind boggling. Imagine what these guys could do in future games.

Something a bit uncanny to it all. Hyper realism can get funky quickly if the whole package isn't there. I sometimes think a bit of stylization or deliberate weirdness can cover the cracks

@Northern_munkey I think they've played it well here. UE5 games have struggled on PS5, and GPUs a lot more powerful than the PS5 are sweating.. and that's with the wizardry of DLSS. My 4080 had a job running the benchmark at 60fps with DLSS without a bit of tweaking. So while PS5 owner's shouldn't panic, caution is definitely advised now we know ps5 versions won't be available to look till the day before. Plus we have no history with Game Science. Push Square did the right thing here imo.

Concerns are warranted when it comes to UE5 on PS5.. especially if there's no PS5 review code.

Great to see the Broken Sword love on here. How different things felt back then? When I play it I almost feel transported back to that calmer time which will never come again. Portuguese have a word that gets at it a bit: Saudade....

@BowTiesAreCool Cecil explains it in a youtube interview if you haven't seen it. Makes sense when you hear him talk about it. It's doing a lot of grunt work, probably wouldn't be financially possible without it.

One of my most played games. I do a plsythrough every couple of years. Such a cozy and relaxing game, and that music..

I think EDGE said something like (paraphrasing).. even the weakest souls game is still one of the best action games of all time.

This small 'playable trailer' was more memorable than many full games. Would love to play it again.

As a rule I don't do early access, but this one really tested me as it sounds brilliant.

Even if you don't have a pc, or an old pc, and plan to buy or upgrade.. doesn't hurt to get a steam library going. Fanatical & humble bundle do insanely cheap bundles every now and then.

I'll let them off if they fix the survivor AI as you escort them. That drove me round the twist

Steamworld Heist 2 has got it's claws in me, it's so addictive. Playing on Veteran difficulty first playthrough and the challenge is 🤌

Despite loving the first I've yet to play this so will buy on release if the port is good.. fingers crossed.

Order 1886 was probably my biggest PS disappointment. It looked so good, had a fantastic setting, and didn't play too bad, but every time it got going you were ripped away from the action with interminable cutscenes. Despite that I always wanted to see them take another stab at the series. Unfortunately looks like VR might not be sustainable for gaming. Shame as they are talented.

Can't wait to play this one day. Only have time for one or two epic games a year and it's Elden Ring right now.

This is as good as it gets for me, Dishonored is one of my top 3 all time favorites. Pleasa be good 🙏

@AK4tywill Astro Bot not getting a port was a huge disappointment. I thought it would have been a no brainer as its one of the best VR ever made, but now it's likely trapped on psvr1 forever.

They are the masters of game design, if they say it.. so be it 🙏

Hmmm. Maybe Sony hired him to start a guerilla marketing campaign that ends with a bloodborne remaster & bloodborne 2 announcement? That must be it? I can't believe we're getting a new bloodborne its finally happening!!

That was seriously impressive. Almost had a Ghibli feel at times. Day 1 if it plays as good as it looks..
