Re: Concord Devs Tinker with PC Files, Spurring Free-to-Play Speculation

Sequel

John linneman of DF mentioned this also, but I think it would be amazing if this game came back, but making fun of itself in a kind of 4th wall breaking way. If it just absorbed all the meme energy and leaned into it. Would never happen, and would be incredibly difficult to pull off.. but the reward could be something totally unique and meta.

Re: Sony Fights Scalpers in Japan By Demanding PS5, PS4 Playtime

Sequel

Another botched pre order (from the punters perspective). What could fix this?

Someone on here mentioned having them sent to actual stores, in US could be partnered with Best Buy for example and just have people queue, sure you could still resell, but at least forces people who want it out? Problem there is you'd have to spread them around the entire country (countries) so most locations would only have a few.

Why not just ask for payment upfront? What am I missing with this? This would at least stop people just sitting on them with their credit cards? Maybe a combination of a down payment + looking at gaming history? I'm lost with it to be honest, seems to be a snag with every angle? I know these were limited but they definitely could have used more of these.

Re: Poll: Did You Pre-Order a PS5 Pro?

Sequel

Ordered standard.. but honestly it was fomo from not getting the anniversary edition. I'll probably cancel it.. only one problem, the stand and drive already shipped. The horror!

Re: Notorious Gambler Lando Calrissian Playing for Keeps in Star Wars Outlaws DLC

Sequel

Now if Lando or Han had been the protagonist I might have considered this. The character they went with never felt 'outlaw' to me from what I saw, would love to have played a real charming scoundrel, maybe even a cantina scum alien. Maybe I'm being a bit sexist deep down, but the character felt like a flat gen-z type 'outlaw' with well written motivation but all the edges sanded off. Just felt meh. But then bland video game leads are nothing new.

Re: 'PS5 Pro Is a Really Good Investment,' Argue Tech Experts After Hands-On

Sequel

As someone who has built PCs for 15 years and built a decent one fairly recently, my opinion is, whilst expensive.. it is actually not a terrible deal. The price would just about cover the GPU and ram if you're lucky, not to mention the plethora of other parts you need, including some you could easily forget to price in (OS). I haven't seen the Pro performance yet, but would think you'd be hard pushed to build anything that comes close for even several hundred more. The stickler for me is the no disc drive, it just makes it just annoys me you have to buy an add on to play all of your disc games and doesn't feel right.
