Re: What the Hell Does This Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Secret Even Mean?

There was no solution before 2.0. They retconned in a solution that was only accessible as of 2.0, probably because of the people desperate to find it. They even put text in game about people desperate to solve it then realizing it wasn’t what they thought.

At the end you get a car.

Also, let’s not forget that in the current job market it’s very hard to hire enough competent people, because the FAANG stocks hired everyone for huge raises, kept the best and only recently dumped the worst of them (keeping the best talent). With the increased expectations on salary and union movements in the game industry - people wanting to be actually paid for OT, go home occasionally and not be sexually assaulted at work - it is very hard to maintain a staff full of experienced testers. We’re seeing the results of that now in redfall, jedi, and other releases that were in development the last few years.

@Wheatly agree. People don’t appreciate the job of testers, particularly something as uncontrolled/open ended as a video game.

That said, dying at the same time is a fairly obvious boundary condition if you are trying to systematically come up with test cases. A play tester wouldn’t find it but someone doing functional testing of a boss encounter with a test rig should.

Sorry, while well executed this game was as safe as can be. Uninspired and with nothing new to add this was just more of the same. It did nothing to advance the medium in any way, added nothing even to the series but more story. A good time, but nowhere close to GOTY material.
