It is such a strange thing to get hung up over because you can almost guarantee they gave the same info to places like Reddit, twitter... godsdamned 4chan!... as well any number of subscription services and yet they balk at a process that takes a few minutes.

Yes some countries don't support PSN, just log in with details that smudge the truth about your location and if you can't do that then you probably having bigger fish to fry.

I have really clouded memories of the original Marathon trilogy, but i do remember it being mostly single player with a story. I was so excited when the reveal came for this new Marathon and then that excitement was slapped out of my hands and stomped on.

It sounds like it'll be really pretty but also extremely shallow like all extraction shooters.

My partner and I only saw it because we have Unlimited Cards (£10.99 a month for as many Cineworld screenings as we can stuff in our eyes) and it was horrendous, badly written, mis-cast, unfinished cgi... even the Immaculate Cait Blanchet came up stinking in it.

This should be £599 with a disc drive... even then I'd be hesitant with how lacking PS offerings have been this gen.

Honestly not much this weekend, mentally I'm just not up to focusing on a game, the most I'll do is some FFXIV dailies with the bestie.

I have, however, binged the entire season of Batman - Caped Crusader and thoroughly enjoyed it even if some of the character reimagining's didn't quite hit.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to Firewalk, I do hope they get a chance to salvage this mess before they're shut down.

@man_what I feel it should be pointed out that for everything except Elder Dragons you don't have to kill them, you can capture them for examination and, if they aren't a danger, release back into their home ecology. You are encouraged by the game's mechanics (more and rarer loot) as well as the narrative to capture whenever possible.

Elder Dragons have to be killed because they will, without exception, destroy the biosphere they nest in either through predation or environmental contamination.

I do agree that the games could do a better job of showing this - we do see biomes that are a result of past ED contamination but it isn't ever made obvious unless you do a lot of digging.

But the killing thing, yeah you don't need to do that, only lazy or bloodthirsty hunters put the regular animals down in the field, so that's on you.

The boob harness is a little too on the nose... Other than that Yumia's design is great. I still need to finish the last trilogy though before I even think about this one

@crossbit Yeah, I don't think a lot of people realise that the Guild exists for conservation purposes, from a gameplay only perspective you're murdering animals to make gear, from the lore and narrative it is done to preserve the natural balance of the lands.

I unironically loved the first two films, they had no right being as entertaining as they were... I'll be there opening week!

Sounds like a perfect "get a month of ubi+ to speed through" kinda game.... Which is exactly what I'm doing.

As much as I love my Vita I'd be hesitant to buy a new full handheld with how PS treated the Vita, it deserved so much better than it got... but if it had solid support I would be very much inclined to get one.

@get2sammyb the difference with the titles you mentioned and this is that they had pretty good singleplayer campaigns... This isn't really about Concord specifically it's that all we know of coming from Sony at the moment is MP trend chasing, something the majority of PS owners don't buy PlayStations for.

We know in a vague way that the first party studios are working on "stuff" other than multiplayer/live service titles but there isn't anything specific to rally behind and be excited about.

The more we have live service and multiplayer titles marketed at us the harder it is to believe the Big Event Single Player Games are cooking.

Yeah, that looks rad as all hell.

Plenty of build variety, tasty combos and the game looks solid.

Cannot wait to dive face first into this.

I've also been streaming Guild Wars 2's base game with a brand new character over on Twitch (the_grumblr) during the week... I'd forgotten how strange chill that game is for being an MMO

I had to check but it is indeed up for pre-order on the PS store so yes, we are getting it day and date with the other platforms.

I wonder if Atlus are assuming the fanbase on PS is so in tune with their ***** that they don't need to advertise to their largest target demographic.

I'm really looking forward to this, it looks fun, I do hope they have a scene where she goes to town on a packet of Jaffa Cakes.

@personauser93 the short answer is yes.

The longer answer is yes, especially when you only have starter gear or a weapon that isn't set up for the particular monster you're hunting. Half of the game is preparing; crafting gear, items, choosing weapons based on what's needed. Even when you know a Monster well it still takes time, the whole game is slower than a typical action game which isn't to everyone's tastes.

I'm going to lose so many hours of my precious time on this Earth to this game... I can't wait!

I've been stomping my way through Guild Wars 2 after not playing it for almost a decade, been incredibly relaxing to start 'fresh' with new character... I won't be up to speed for the new expansion but I'll get there eventually

@HiNess to be fair, there isn't much that I don't watch at the cinema and I have seen some absolute stinkers, but I've also seen many more gems that I wouldn't see if I didn't have that card. I lean towards favouring the smaller, stranger films but I'm also not so far up my own arse that I can't enjoying mindless entertainment as well.
